Back in 1990, after reading an article in A.A.R.P. magazine (American Association of Retired Persons) encouraging women to start home based businesses from their hobbies, Beverly thought she might be able to sell afghans. She started with a station wagon load of afghans and no business plan -- not exactly the recipe for success!! But what started out as a small home party service business to supplement a construction worker's income, has grown to one of the largest afghan and accessory retailers in the country. from sales out of our basement, to big shows at fairgrounds and places like the Rosemont Horizon in Chicago, and big Amish markets in Shipshewana, In., this "Ma & Pa" venture keeps rolling, sending shipments across the U.S. and as far away as Belgium.
